Specifically, in this area you will find fishing gear that has been traditionally manufactured by the fishermen themselves for the last 70 years, loom, hook and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"http:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/P1011816.png\" alt=\"Fishing gear\" class=\"wp-image-120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/P1011816.png 800w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/P1011816-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/P1011816-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Upstairs there is an exhibition on the lake&#8217;s natural\nenvironment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More precisely, the first section features a lot of\ninformation about Pamvotida &#8211; its environment, the area where it is located and\nits long geological history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On two stands, the visitor can wear headphones and hear\ninteresting narratives of various myths, legends and old stories about the\nnatural environment of the lake and its surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onwards there are various transparent exhibits, each of which gives information on the main plants of the lake, the fish that live there, and the different species of birds, amphibians and mammals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"685\" src=\"http:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail-1024x685.jpg\" alt=\"Exhibit\" class=\"wp-image-139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail-768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail-1536x1028.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/lakepamvotis-interpretation.gr\/kentro-pliroforisis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/02\/DinosMichail.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The next section informs the visitor about human impact on the lake and\nits ecosystem. The end of the exhibition is devoted to the timeless value of\nthe lake, which served as a refuge and natural crossroads for humans and\nanimals from prehistoric times to the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before the exit, there is a large screen featuring an extremely\ninteresting and short slideshow for Pamvotida, as well as a touch screen, where\none can discover suggested hiking trails in the wider area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report reminds us that the future of the lake depends on us and how\nits proper management affects it and its surroundings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The beautiful traditional building that houses the Information Center consists of two (2) levels.
